13 youth with intellectual disabilities will practice in the street cleaning service (06/10/2016)

The School of Crafts, Ferrovial Services and Down Spain Foundation will improve the employability of young people with intellectual disabilities.

On this occasion and continuing with the cooperation of the City of Murcia, 13 young people will receive theoretical and practical training to perform the tasks of street cleaning.

Through the Department of Public Works, directed Roque Ortiz, practices will be made in the service of urban cleaning of Murcia in order to promote the employability of people with special difficulties in access to employment and improve the conditions in which the company operates through its most valuable resource: knowledge and the employees of this company.

Thanks to this agreement, these thirteen youth will participate in the trade school where they have acquired a theoretical and thanks to which now held a traineeship in the urban environment and gardens of the municipality of Murcia, developing functions Operator Manual Cleaning .

Practical training run until the 28th of this month with a total of 95 hours.

Thus, the 13 participants will put into practice what I learned in the classroom related to street cleaning, sweeping, hosing and prevention of occupational risks among others.

These practices must be conducted so tutored.

Four students accompanied by operators of street cleaning service to supervise their work in the gardens and roads in the area of ​​Ranero, James, and James and Zaraiche.

Four other students perform the tasks in brigades in the artillery barracks and the rest will work in areas Malecón, petting zoo and Maria Guerrero, all with the support and ongoing review of company personnel this service.

The theoretical training has been developed in Fundown facilities, from Monday 26 to 30 September in days 5 hours.

Technical training by experts from both Spain Ferrovial Servicios and external trade has been oriented to further develop by the students, always under the didactic advice Fundown.

As part of this training group also visited the waste treatment plant located Cañada Hermosa to know first hand the treatment of waste deposited daily by citizens.

All the participating students, selected by Fundown receive a diploma certifying that they have completed the training program and will become part of the job market for potential future job opportunities.
