The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Murcia (UMU) will offer today, day 4, a tribute within the events planned to mark the feast of its patron, St. Francis of Assisi, Professor Luis León Vizcaino, in his retirement, and cattle bulls Nazario Ibanez, Yecla.
During the ceremony, which will start at 13:00, Professor Leon will receive the Medal of Retirement, while on behalf of livestock, Jorge Ibanez, owner's son, will collect the Patronage Medal.
With the award given to Professor Luis Leon Faculty he wants to recognize how much he has given to the center in his decades of teaching and research in it, which he joined from the University of Cordoba.
Meanwhile, the Medal for Patronage to be delivered to the yeclana livestock wants to show appreciation to the center for the cooperation received by their teachers as a result of the research carried out at the Faculty for studies related to raising the bull.
Jorge Ibanez, who is head of livestock and is also matador, expressed his appreciation for the distinction and has indicated that its facilities are always open to scientific activity developed in Veterinary Medicine.
Among the participants include the Vice Chancellor for Research, Juan Antonio Garcia and Dean, Gaspar Ros.
