The mayor meets tomorrow with President Development Bank of the Colombian Government (31/08/2016)

José Ballesta receive a delegation composed of more than twenty institutional leaders of the Colombian regions of the Caribbean, Santanderes and Antioch, participants in the meeting 'Smart Development: Murcia and Colombia, to the agrópolis the future'.

The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and members of the government team will receive morning in the city to a network of more than twenty institutional leaders of the Colombian regions of the Caribbean, Santanderes and Antioch delegation to participate in the meeting 'Development smart: Murcia and Colombia, to the agrópolis the future '.

The president of Development Bank of the Colombian Government Findeter (Financial of Territorial Development), Luis Fernando Arboleda, will lead the delegation which will also be attended by mayors and secretaries of Planning responsible for the areas of planning and territorial development, which showed their interest in the projects led by Murcia in these areas: in particular, the environmental recovery of the Segura river and the Plan of Action of the Huerta as agricultural development environment unique in Europe.

In addition to the strategic proposals of intervention in the territory, this meeting for the Mediterranean-Caribbean dialogue which is part of the Diamond Caribbean and Santanderes- initiative, new technology as a tool for progress and social cohesion will be analyzed and the model 'smart' city of Murcia, selected by the European Commission as a reference to be also transferred to other capitals of Latin America, such as Buenos Aires, Campo Grande, Guadalajara and Montevideo.
