From Friday to Sunday, will take place championships fishing freshwater categories U-15, U-20, U25 in the waters of the River Segura, specifically between the bridge Fica and Mills River, with the celebration of the Feria de Murcia.
The event will collect three championships: the XII championship of Spain Autonomic selections Freshwater Concentration and National U-15 category;
the XXIV championship of Spain Autonomic selections Freshwater Concentration and National U-20 category;
And the XXVIII championship of Spain Autonomic selections Freshwater Concentration and National U-25 category.
These Championships are qualifying for the World Championships of these categories in 2017.
114 athletes from all over Spain, namely 31 athletes from the U-15 category;
48 athletes from the U-20 category;
and 35 athletes from the U-25 category, will compete in this event from 17:00 on Friday until 20:00 Saturday.
Spain Championships and National Freshwater Concentrations are summoned by the Spanish Federation of Fishing and Casting, organized by the Federation of Murcia Fisheries and under the supervision of the Technical Committee of the specialty.
Councillor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, who was accompanied by President of the Federation of Fisheries of the Region of Murcia, Francisco Alvarez Fernández, said that the celebration of this championship, "gives more life to the river, our Segura river ", thus fulfilling the commitment of this corporation with Murcia river Project and returning to Murcia areas such as the environment the same as it passes through the city.
