The UMU grants scholarships to students from Peru and Argentina (30/08/2016)

The University of Murcia (UMU) in collaboration with the Iberoamerican University Association of Graduate, has awarded three scholarships to teachers from countries of the continent to work on his doctoral studies programs of law schools, Industrial Relations and Technology Food of the Murcian institution.

The beneficiaries are from the National Universities of Córdoba and Nacional de La Plata in Argentina, and the Pontifical of Peru.

Moreover, up to sixty murcianos students have been beneficiaries in the last call, the ILA program of exchange with Latin America, to study a semester in the best Latin American universities with scholarships Santander Grade Latin America and the ILA Scholarship UMU the Vice President of coordination and internationalization, led by professor Bernardo Cascales.

The funding of such aid for the 2016-2017 year, 142,000 euros in total, is the largest contribution since the ILA program was created in 2004.

Students travel, especially to Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Uruguay, but also to the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Ecuador, Panama, Colombia and Costa Rica.

Since the program began have been 360 students of the UMU who have spent periods in those countries, while this institution has received about 330 from them.

Finally, the UMU, by signing an agreement with the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic, returns to receive for graduates in this country, coursing masters in the faculties of Education, Chemistry and Informatics.

The Dominican Ministry maintains its commitment to strengthen educational ties cooperation with Spain, with the UMU for formation of its professionals.
