60 local police monitored 172 schools to prevent vandalism during the summer (27/08/2016)

The Department of Traffic and Public Safety has prepared a special plan of security which will run until September in 187 schools (163 schools and 9 schools) to avoid their facilities acts of vandalism, theft and consumption of alcohol and drugs.

A total of 60 agents, both in the town and in the villages, walking routes designed (2 in the city and 8 districts) covering 24 hours a day, though intensifying surveillance during night and weekend week, because, as you have found, are the times when most criminal vandalism or activities occur in schools and colleges.

To date they have been conducted about 3,300 inspections having occurred incidents in four centers: two located in districts (broken windowpanes and botelleo and noise), and the other two in the city (broken pipe and fiber optic broken gate window)

Although all schools are monitored preferential attention to those with the greatest potential risk for the downtown location, existing background on this issue and the information gathered from neighborhood committees, associations of parents, principals lends centers and neighborhood associations.

With these surveillance and control seeks to prevent damage from occurring and ensure that facilities are in perfect condition when the course begins.

Local police has contacted all those responsible for the schools informing them of their goal and requesting their cooperation facilitating the access keys to outdoor enclosures, so that interventions that required entering them be simplified.
