The University of Murcia has a total of 4,732 parking spaces distributed in 29 areas of the campus of Espinardo, according to the Technical Unit of this educational institution.
In recent years, the UMU has installed barriers to control access in 13 of the 29 parking spaces on campus, representing 40 percent of total capacity.
From these places, more than a hundred are reserved for handicapped and disabled.
During peak hours, almost all car parks remain full during the course, although there are areas which, by their -are location farther from the core of the campus- have free seats over those months.
This is the case, for example, the deterrent parking located in the university residence, which is close to the Faculty of Computer Science, University Social Centre and the Department of the Technical Unit, next to the main entrance of the campus said.
