The water skiing and sailing come first to the waters of the Segura, in the September Fair (19/08/2016)

Mayor Jose Ballesta also today offered a preview of the programming of the September Fair, which will be officially presented next week.

"The river will have a leading place in this edition, with the celebration of a great party which will bring water sports, music and entertainment," said the mayor, adding that "we will enhance the river as the backbone and union between the two traditional scenarios of the Fair, such as La Fica and the Orchards Campus ".

Among the main innovations of this year include water skiing activity on the river, which will take place between the bridge and gateway Dangers Miguel Caballero, compared to Mills River.

It will install a cable system similar to mountain ski lift across the Segura, with spectacular wakeboard exhibitions that will include jumps and stunts along the entire morning of Saturday 10 September.

In addition, the evening will begin SUP competitions, an urban water sport that fill the river surfboards and paddlers.

This is the night Sub Urban II Murcia, a pioneer sports event whose first edition was held last year.

I Sailing Regatta 'Murcia River'

On Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 will also be held Sailing Regatta R 'Murcia River' in the waters of the Segura, Miguel Caballero from the gateway to the Iron Bridge, with the participation of numerous boats Optimist.

The river environment will host many other activities throughout the month of September, which will be announced next week, coinciding with the official presentation of the programming of the Fair Murcia 2016.
