For this reason the City will offer 90 courses gerontogimnasia for social centers for the elderly, expanding the number of annual hours per year, from 54 to 70 hours.
Thus, he said the councilman, "ensures that all schools have this activity throughout the year, except July and August."
With this new edition "aims to improve the performance of physical activity programs individualized and tailored to the special needs that present the greatest in terms of their health situation," he stated Conchita Ruiz.
In addition, added Ruiz Caballero, "also plans to make other complementary educational activities in schools, related to the content of the courses, as scheduled biosaludables output circuits, etc."
Activity gerontogimnasia, promoted by the Department of Social Rights has developed, continuously in senior centers since 1994, where he started this activity as an ambitious project to promote physical exercise and health, starting in 25 centers and being extended currently at 76 they are forming the network.
It is an activity that has been consolidated over the years, gradually increasing both the number of courses and participants.
In 2001 it was attended by 776 participants, while last year were 1,932.
