The PSOE accused the municipal government of the PP of not having defended to the Community the agreement of Parliament in favor of Adult Education (14/08/2016)

The socialist councilor Susana Hernandez has accused Rafael Gómez, Councillor for Education of the PP in the city of Murcia, had not shown her complaint and disagreement with the decision of the Ministry of Education and Universities to suppress several classrooms and courses for adults in the municipality of Murcia.

Specifically, Susana Hernandez has accused the mayor of Education and the government team Ballesta not having complied with the agreement on the motion presented by the PSOE in Parliament in March and was approved unanimously.

The initiative urged the regional government "to strengthen the centers of adult education in the Region of Murcia, keeping supply and location of such teachings."

However, in recent days it has been known that have been deleted classrooms and courses of this type of education.

As an example, in Cabezo de Torres they have been eliminated Spanish courses for foreigners and access to Higher Level, which also caused the protest to the Ministry of Education president of the Municipal d that pedanía Board, Francisco Viudes .

Other presidents of municipal boards have also expressed their complaints, such as Bacons Bridge and Espinardo.

In the case of Bacons Bridge, they have been deleted five courses in total: one computer, another training for School graduate, another preparatory to overcome Secondary Education, and two language courses highly demanded by the immigrant population pedanía (currently there are 4,000 immigrants registered in Bacons Bridge).

The socialist mayor has conducted an internal communication to the Minister of Education inviting him to read the minutes of the plenary and to review the recording of his speech (8:10 to 11:09 minutes), in which Gomez supported the motion of the Socialist Group and the that "at no time spoke of cuts or elimination of courses in different centers of the municipality."

Thus, the socialist councilor has called on the City of Murcia requiring the Ministry of Education set aside the order to suppress classrooms and adult education courses.

"We also request copies of the letters sent to the Community to comply with the agreement of Parliament", he concluded.
