The PSOE fears that aid to promote employment remain uncovered by the delay in implementing them (11/08/2016)

The spokesman of the Socialist Municipal Group, José Ignacio Gras, today expressed concern over the delay in the implementation of the measures announced by Mayor José Ballesta for promoting employment in the municipality, "because we are in a very complicated dates to publicize the aid, especially considering it's been eight months to implement them when they were included in municipal budgets and were increased by amendments to the PSOE ".

Remember that it was not until last July 29 when the Board of Governors approved the public call for grants for the promotion of employment, with a helpline for a maximum total amount of 307,984 euros.

And that has not published the notice appeared in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM) until yesterday, August 10, with a term ending on 30 September.

According to Gras, "for Ballesta, as it was also Chamber, the fight against unemployment does not appear to be among his priorities. Such close Administration has to pitch in to combat the main problem that we suffer, such as unemployment, and therefore always we greet measures how are you be promoted ".

But for the Socialist spokesman, which is not acceptable, "it is that we had to wait more than half a year to implement these initiatives, when from the PSOE got much economic resources for employment will increase."

In order to promote effective measures to combat unemployment, the hand of entrepreneurs measures, in particular social economy enterprises and associations of autonomous, the PSOE introduced in the Budget 2016 amendments which accounted for 500,000 euros over several items provided for by the PP government team.

Thus, grants for the promotion of employment, the initial 167,970 euros, was achieved increase them to 347,970 euros (180,000 euros).

As for transfers for social and economic agents, of 8,958 euros for Third Sector it was passed 168,958 (160,000 euros) and 147,000 euros for business associations passed the 307,000 (160,000 euros other).

The fear of the Socialist Group is justified since in the budget last year aimed at employment they stopped spending more than 50 percent of some items, and other even nothing.

Specifically, in occupational and technical studies and jobs, 3.41 million budgeted, training only 1.73 million was spent, while in the section on employment promotion grants not provided 165,000 euros were spent.

A political initiative, the Socialist Group added the proposal for the creation of Local Employment Pact in the municipality of Murcia, adopted in plenary in November, and whose implementation claimed on several occasions, until it was finally held the first working meeting last May.

"We do not want to think that there is no policy to promote such initiatives will, but what we fear is that it may be a little late and have to extend the deadlines to give effect to these aids," said Jose Ignacio Gras.
