The Brigade Civic Information and Surveillance contact more than 1,500 restaurateurs, shopkeepers and residents in its first month of operation (10/08/2016)

Civic Information and Surveillance Brigade, launched through the collaboration of the Department of Public Works and the concessionaire company Ferrovial Servicios, has made nearly 1,500 visits in its first month of operation.

The four teams that run through the town and villages since last July 1 have informed merchants, restaurateurs and residents of forced compliance with the rules of the Municipal street cleaning, developing a close and informative work.

29% of visits have been made to restaurants and bars, 22% to grocery stores, 12% at shoe stores and clothing stores, 6% to pharmacies and clinics, 3% to offices, 2% citizens and the remaining other 26%.

The goal of the brigades is to inform citizens of the importance in the care and maintenance of public and commons informing citizens and monitoring public spaces in order to encourage and promote street cleaning throughout the municipality.

These visits have been developed during this first month in areas Cathedral, San Lorenzo, San Nicolas, San Pedro, Santa Catalina, Santa Eulalia, San Anton, San Juan, San Miguel, La Fama, San Andres, San Antolin, highlighting more those in the districts of Vistalegre and Santa Maria de Gracia.

The districts visited in this first month have been Cabezo de Torres, Espinardo and Bacons Bridge.

These visits have led to the creation of 113 incidents for breach of the ordinance, most by dumping of waste on public roads and lack of cleanliness in terraces.

Most of them have been made in the vicinity of the cathedral, followed by San Lorenzo and San Miguel

Repeated incidents collected by these four brigades in 16 cases led to the imposition of the so-called voluntary complaint made when has created three incidents by default in the ordinances, leaving those registered in specific newsletters delivered complaints and copy the offender.

The causes of these complaints have been voluntary dumping of waste on public roads (12);

lack of cleanliness of public roads occupied by terraces (3) and a drag bag with liquid.

Most of these voluntary complaints have been made in San Lorenzo, San Miguel and San Pedro (three in each of these districts) followed by Vistalegre (2) and Cabezo de Torres, El Carmen, San Juan, Santa Catalina and Santa Maria de Gracia, with one in each of these areas.

Councillor for Public Works, Roque Ortiz, explained that "this personal approach to establishments and pedestrians transiting these areas, as well as the protocol established to create incidents and voluntary reports is visibly improving the appearance of the city as evidenced the marked improvement in the appearance presented the terraces of many local, the immediate withdrawal of individual glass containers on the sidewalk or the highest and best use of containers in different ways and on the street Simon Garcia ".

The areas are walking in this month are Santa Eulalia, El Palmar, La Paz, San Juan, La Fama, St. Barthelemy, Cathedral, San Lorenzo, San Miguel, Santa Catalina, San Pedro and San Nicolas, showing particular interest in areas of dog droppings and squares of the areas mentioned.

In total through the streets of Murcia and districts eight uniformed and identified people in four teams that specialize in these tasks information and monitoring, as they have been trained in customer service, compliance with municipal ordinances, disciplinary procedures and services cleaning and waste collection in each of the areas.

Three teams develop their work from 9.30 to 16 hours and another of 16 to 23.30
