Murcia City Council through the Department of Social Rights, headed Conchita Ruiz Caballero, has processed 2,164 financial aid for social emergency care, amounting to 1,619,345 euros.
Specifically it has granted a total of 1,680 basic food aid between January and June this year, amounting to 1,238,385 euros.
In addition, it has also been allocated a total amount of 302 450 382 euros for aid to pay rent arrears of the residence.
"With these two types of aid has enabled more than 2,000 families to ensure adequate basic food to all members of the family unit and prevent loss of housing for non-payment of rent," said Ruiz Caballero.
Other items for which has handled various aids are the electricity costs of the residence, which is essential for housing or small reforms to ensure habitability, or prosthesis glasses and basic equipment.
