A cooperation agreement between the city of Murcia, specifically the Department of Planning, Environment and Huerta, who heads Antonio Navarro, and the Neighborhood Association for Sustainable Development Garruchal (ADESGA), can conserve the biodiversity of the municipal property located in Mount Valley and Altaona saws and Escalona, ​​which specifically includes 225,000 square meters.
The agreement is a formula for cooperation between landowners and conservation bodies to improve sustainable use of such property, and in turn the environmental quality of the residents of the municipality through the implementation of programs of environmental education and outreach in the land located in Paraje Los Porches, Sierra de Altaona in Glens San Pedro.
With an area of ​​225,000 square meters, and considered an area of ​​environmental improvement unfit for the building, the property, which is within the SPA (Special Protection Area) and owned by the City, it is part of the 2,000 hectares of land susceptible nature conservation forest land stewardship regime, that is, by involving the private sector and civil society in maintaining biodiversity and landscapes.

This agreement provides for the implementation of the following actions:
a) Recovery of traditional agricultural landscape.
b) silvicultural management of existing forests.
c) Rehabilitation or recovery of rural architecture (houses, ovens, wells, etc.)
d) monitoring and protection of wildlife.
e) Disclosure of environmental values ​​of the area through environmental education activities, coordinated with the way managed by the City Council.
