Eight companies bidding for drafting the director of San Esteban plan (02/08/2016)

Eight deals have attended the contest for writing the master plan of all San Esteban, whose opening session by the jury has been out this morning, chaired by Councilman Eduardo Martínez-Oliva and assistance representatives of opposition groups.

From now on, the Office of Works and Municipal Projects will study and evaluate the technical proposals, and their report is again sent to the jury, which then will open the financial bids.

Then the Governing Board approved the award proposal.

Compliments these procedures, the editor team will have nine months to deliver the final document.

To do this, submit the advance within two months, it will have 4 months to the consultation phase and initial proposal and 3 months to complete the plan.

The priority will offer viable solutions for the proper recovery of the garden and the valorization of the archaeological site, in addition to serving the tourist and cultural integration of the palace and the Church.

To do this, the plan will define the solutions and to develop final performances.

The action plan will address social and local integration, tourism promotion, cultural, trade, leisure, furniture and urban enjoyment, areas of possible pedestrianization, recovery and environmental regeneration, cleaning and waste collection.

Although the basic area of ​​operation include the archaeological site, the church and the palace of San Esteban, the effective area will be defined by the plan itself, which will make proposals on the urban environment and immediate influence.

The document will establish eight lines of action that enhance archaeological research and conservation, along with the public and citizen environmental use, all, by the standards of rigor and excellence required in an urban environment such centrality and importance, as befits a project that is destined to be one of the most important taking place in Murcia in the coming years.
