The University of Murcia (UMU), through the Vice President of Economy, Sustainability and Health Sciences, has done throughout this different course maintenance to check and strengthen security of university departments.

Some of these actions are building a warehouse of dangerous products at the Faculty of Chemistry and installation of pressure in the Animalario campus Health Sciences and detection and alarm of toxic gases in the LAIB building.

Equally, systems have been installed fire protection and lobbyists water in numerous faculties, as well as detection and burglar alarm on the ancient background of the General Library on the CIOyN in the sports and the LAIB mentioned, among other buildings.

On the other hand, during the course 2015/2016, they have drafted new protection plans (documents with information on the safety of university buildings) of the powers of Labour Science and Social Work, Economics and Business, Education , Medicine, Chemistry and building Saavedra Fajardo.
