The UCAM and Camposeven incorporate new technologies in the agricultural world (12/07/2016)

Strengthen university-business relationship, enabling knowledge transfer.

This is the basis by which the Catholic University of Murcia and the company this morning Camposeven have strengthened their cooperation with the creation of the University Chair of 'responsible agrifood systems'.

This, whose goal is to work in the field of research to incorporate new technologies in the agricultural world, will focus its activities in areas related to food, health, agricultural production systems, corporate social responsibility (CSR), marketing areas, sustainable economy or market research.

Camposeven, located in San Pedro del Pinatar, is dedicated to the production and marketing of organic and biodynamic farming -system based fruit and vegetable products, among other things, the relationship with astrology-plantations.

Among the projects that could work the Chair is the development of online sales of organic products, and the use of drones.

The agreement was signed by José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, and Adolfo Garcia, CEO of Camposeven, who has stressed the idea of ​​the need for unity between the world of business "that is where the experience is" and the university "that is where the knowledge is."

The event also featured Estrella Nunez, Vice President for Research of the Catholic, who pointed out that both institutions are already developing joint projects, case Industrial PhD program of the university.

Similarly, Estrella Nunez stressed the involvement of Camposeven for innovation "because from the beginning he understood that it is through hand research and can progress and acquire new skills and markets."
