Minimize delays and loss of signal strength of the current systems of satellite communication is the main objective of the research conducted by María Dolores Montero, a student of the Degree in Telecommunications at the Catholic University of Murcia, and which has been selected by Telefónica to compete nationally with other technological solutions, under the program to support entrepreneurship Talentum Startups.
The project, baptized with the name 'Metaquir, plane of rotation' is formed by a plastic sheet ABS terpolymer, created using 3D printing and whose production cost is 70% lower than existing solutions.
The same, is installed as a complement to conventional communication antennas, changing the geometry and composition of waves emitted and received through them.
Thus the signal attenuation is reduced, favoring the reliability of the information provided.
During the research process, the UCAM has provided this young entrepreneur your classroom 3D Lab, where they have printed the results obtained after more than 100 simulations, including the final prototype.
Also, from the business incubator ITM (Institute of Technology of Murcia UCAM) it has provided support and mentoring in business, technological and social skills through a training program supervised by a qualified mentor.
