The PSOE criticizes the passivity of Ballesta to the closure of medical offices in Murcia during the summer (07/07/2016)

The Socialist Group Municipal Councillor, Maite Espinosa, denounced Thursday the passivity of the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, before the closure of many medical offices in the city.

"The mayor of Murcia remains impassive while the residents of the municipality suffer 'health poverty' as every summer," Espinosa stated.

At the closing of the offices of Patino, Cabezo de la Plata, Azarbe Shore, Santa Cruz, Bacons Bridge (closed in the afternoon), it joins the decrease in the number of consultations in the Barrio del Progreso.

"In addition, they have been closed around two hundred thirty beds and numerous operating theaters in hospitals Morales Meseguer, Reina Sofia and Arrixaca, demonstrating once again the lack of foresight and planning of the PP government."

"Mr. Ballesta should ensure the interests of the citizens of the municipality of Murcia and require the Ministry better management of health resources that is not every year in close consultation to the detriment of everyone," he added the mayor of the PSOE , who has urged the mayor to comply with the agreements reached at the municipal plenary to avoid cuts in health care in the municipality.

"We can not allow, one more summer, health services in the municipality of Murcia are undermined while policy makers in the city of Murcia keep quiet and give to the regional government. The Murcia and Murcia deserve quality health care and that is a requirement from the Municipal Socialist Group will continue to uphold ", he concluded.
