The Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure has initiated the bidding process for the construction of a new roundabout at the junction of Cuatro Caminos, in the hamlet of Murcia Beniaján, which will improve and make safer circulation in that area, through which pass daily 13,000 vehicles, of which 1,100 are heavy.
The works consist of the construction of a roundabout with an outer radius of 41 meters and two lanes four meters wide, with the outer and inner shoulders of one meter.
The infrastructure is complete with signs, markings and replacement of existing services as well as the lighting of the roundabout.
Today this crossing has a starting roundabout with traffic lights that distributes traffic running through the RM-300 road linking the districts of Murcia with Beniaján, TorreagĂźera and Los Ramos;
the MRI-F9, Bacons Bridge linking with Beniaján;
the lane leading to the restaurant Rincón Huertano and access Beniaján for the crossing.
The planned investment is 327,000 euros and the award of the contract will be made by open procedure.
The implementation period is 4 months.
