The University of Murcia (UMU) has produced a guide with recommendations for proper nutrition of university students in intensive study periods.

The guide advises digestion light meals such as fish, foods high in carbohydrates for their vitamin content (such as cereals, fruits and vegetables) and intake of nuts for their energy content and reinforcement for memory,
It also stresses the importance of breakfast and a hydration with water or juice, without abusing coffee and other stimulants.
The guide, by the Department of Environmental Quality, Food Safety and Nutrition, also contains physical and rest recommendations as sleeping 7 to 9 hours and physical exercise.
