The UCAM and Biometric research on new technology related to the world of voice (29/06/2016)

Identification of people through voice or problems in the vocal apparatus, and even detect diseases such as Parkinson's, are some of the applications that are given to the technology related to the world of voice.

The Catholic University of Murcia and the company Biometric Box have signed a collaboration agreement to investigate this human voice biometric technology and its many applications, and to advance in this field.

In addition, the agreement includes the construction of industrial doctorates;

cooperation for the development of training activities aimed at continuous specialized training in human speech technology for businesses and schools in the Region of Murcia, or performing practices of students of the institution in the company.

The agreement was signed by José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, and Joaquín Cros, coordinator Biometric Vox.

The event was also attended Rafael Melendreras, Vice Dean of Engineering Degree in Telecommunication Systems, one of the titles involved, "along with others such as law, psychology or criminology" he says.

In addition, Melendreras thanked Biometrics to get in touch with the Catholic University of Murcia to work in this area as toe.
