The installation of a solar energy system in La Fica and improving green areas in Vistabella employs 40 young Murcia (29/06/2016)

For three months, students have acquired Youth Guarantee theoretical and practical training and, from July 1, they will jump to the labor market with a contract for the formation of nine months.

The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and the Minister of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment, Juan Hernandez, held today a meeting with the young beneficiaries of mixed program of employment and training Youth Guarantee in classrooms Fica Center training and Employment Initiatives City of Murcia.

Specifically, the Mayor and the Minister met the 40 students enrolled in the 'Jardines de Vistabella' and 'FICA-Energy Efficiency' programs, which are being developed since last March 31 and will run until March 30, 2017, with the aim of providing young people included in the list of the National System of youth Guarantee, a training itinerary that allows them access to employment of their professional sector.

During the first three months, the students have acquired theoretical and practical training.

From Friday July 1, and for nine months, they will jump to the labor market with a contract for training.

"In this last phase young people can finish the professionalization of their respective offices, doing work of public utility, such as care and garden maintenance, installation and maintenance of solar panels, or elements of sound and television in municipal facilities" said the mayor.

In this sense, the councilman reported that "students will work on improving green areas of Vistabella and installing a collection system photovoltaic solar energy in the FICA" and added that "for the project, which young people they were in a situation of unemployment learn a specialty and receive a scholarship or salary ".

Specifically, students are enrolled in these five specialties: auxiliary gardening, installers and maintenance of gardens, seed production and nursery plants, installation of photovoltaic solar panels, and installation and maintenance of public address systems, sound system and CCTV .

A certificate of professionalism that opens the doors of the labor market

This initiative that the City developed in collaboration with the Regional Employment Service and Training has a cost of 835,000 euros, of which 400,000 euro from the municipal contribution and 435,000 euros remaining of a grant from the SEF to the Joint Training Employment-Program youth youth Guarantee system of the municipality of Murcia.

As a culmination of their learning, students will get a certificate of professionalism of its specialty, which will credit the skills needed in the labor sector, improving their chances of finding a job in the short term.

Open the new call for aid, endowed with 2.4 million

For his part, José Hernández presented the new call for aid from mixed employment-training program for young beneficiaries of the National Youth Guarantee System, equipped with 2,400,000 euros, financed by the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Operational Programme.

It aims to facilitate the employment of young people in 45 municipalities in the region and after being published yesterday the call for aid in BORM, different municipalities and may apply for these grants.

More job opportunities

In this sense, José Ballesta said that "Murcia is one more advantage of the aid that manages the SEF and arriving students as scholarship municipalities".

In this regard, he noted that "within the program of Local Public Employment, the Municipal Department of Parks and Gardens has hired another 13 young Murcia who were unemployed and who, after being selected by the SEF they are working since last April 1st".

Murcia has two training workshops (one for all youth and other youth from Youth Guarantee) and a Joint Employment and Training Program for seniors.

Also, the City offers 11 courses for the unemployed, taught in collaboration with the SEF.
