The Brigade of Information and Surveillance Ordinance street cleaning will begin in July through the streets of Murcia (24/06/2016)

The Board of Governors approved the creation of the Brigade of Information and Surveillance on compliance of the Municipal street cleaning, under the Department of Public Works, who heads Roque Ortiz.

The aim of this initiative is to have an agile municipal service, direct and specifically mandated to carry out tasks of information and monitoring the rules laid down by the Municipal street cleaning and related.

Its primary function will be to inform citizens and monitor public spaces in order to encourage and promote street cleaning throughout the municipality.

This brigade will depend organically and functionally of the service contractor, Ferrovial Services, providing direct account of its operation from the municipal street cleaning the Department of Public Works.

To do this, the concessionaire must devote full time, at least eight people these specialized information and monitoring work, which will be duly accredited and identified with a specific uniform for Murcia to recognize.

Under the direction and coordination of the City Council, through the Municipal Cleaning Service Road, brigades, in three groups of two guards each, will act in a manner organized by neighborhoods, districts or areas, a rotary mode, both in the city as in villages.

Thus, in a first phase it has been established two shifts, Monday through Saturday from 8 to 15.30 and 15 to 22.30.

Then a third shift from 20 to 3.30 pm will be created.

From next week, the members of these brigades will receive a training course and prevention of occupational risks to the public and, as expected, begin to walk the streets at the beginning of July.

Councilman Roque Ortiz explained that "the Brigade of Information and Surveillance born with concrete and real purpose of completing a set of measures that the Corporation has been taking on street cleaning aimed at achieving a more sustainable city, care and better image , and it is essential the collaboration of all. "

Ortiz added that "thus offer the possibility that the rules are known and enforced by recipients offering an informative and maintenance work of a high level of quality in the provision of municipal services."
