Antonio Navarro explained that "transportation is the main source of CO2 emissions in the municipality of Murcia, with about 40%, which is why it is essential to work on the transition towards a model of low carbon mobility."

Much of the change has come from the hand of new media implemented in public transport, with the combination of tram and bus, with a renewed fleet with natural gas as fuel and low emission constant.

In addition, last year the tricolor bond, which allows travel by combining the three operators of Murcia with a single card, so convenient, quick, effective and economical was created.

Other notable steps in the development of sustainable mobility in Murcia have been:

- Introduction of gas and electric vehicles in the fleet of cleaning and waste treatment, garden maintenance and Aguas de Murcia.

Moreover, thanks to the efforts made in the implementation of a system of municipal public bicycle rental, which has had a great reception between Murcia and investments that have been made to expand the infrastructure of the bicycle -160 km cycling trails, routes and busways friendly bike lanes, bicycle parking closed in September, 1 intelligent and 1,500 bicycle parking bicycle parking in U-, Murcia is achieving its objective.
