The new plan Campodos benefit all districts of Campo de Murcia (21/06/2016)

Local Action Group Campodos has opened a new funding period 2020 to which the City Council will adhere and the main novelty is that you may include any action from all districts of Campo de Murcia.

Thus, if in the previous period 2007-2013 only could participate the districts of Corvera, Lobosillo, Bathrooms and Beggar, Valladolises and Carrascoy-La Murta, now they may be incorporated the Canadas de San Pedro, Los Martínez del Puerto, Jerome and Avileses , Balsicas, Gea and Truyols and Sucina.

The group is currently preparing the rural development plan as a framework for all members applying for aid.

Once the plan developed and approved by the Autonomous Community of the local action group will proceed to summon aid.

These grants can request the City Council or private entities for a residential area.

Councilman Employment, Tourism and Culture explained that "now we ask the headman to make public aid between private entities territory that may arise, and thus stimulate private investment in these districts."

Campodos is financed through the European rural development fund established for each of the financial periods of the EU, that the City of Murcia is part since its establishment on March 20, 2000.

Participatory Development Strategy until 2020, which will offer a grant of 5 million euros for the seven participating municipalities, meets the following requirements:

Improve conditions for entrepreneurship in rural areas and create employment: It is expected that the development of projects to be promoted within the framework of LEADER achieve influence overcoming obstacles present in rural areas for generating economic activity.

Improve the attractiveness and services available in rural areas: It will continue to promote the development of local infrastructure and basic services in rural areas, including services, leisure and culture, rehabilitation of villages and activities aimed at restoring and improving cultural and natural heritage of villages and rural landscapes.

The objectives of the program are:

Facing the territorial imbalance exists generating the necessary urban-rural integration in order to overcome this bipolarity.

Improve the attractiveness of rural areas and the quality of life in general,

Reduce the risk of exclusion and poverty in certain areas of the territory.

The scope includes all or part of 7 municipalities of Murcia that group a total population of 80,319 inhabitants and are Eagles, Cartagena, Fuente Alamo, Lorca, Mazarron, Puerto Lumbreras, Totana and Murcia.
