Councillor Maite Espinosa today expressed rejection of the Socialist Group to the proposal announced by the Councillor for Sports, Felipe Coello, in the sense of increasing prices use of sports facilities in the districts of up to nearly 40 percent.

"With the idea of ​​wanting to unify the prices paid for to use the pavilions or football fields, the residents of the districts are the ones who are going to suffer most," said Espinosa.

The Socialist Group considers that before proposing new public prices for the use of sports facilities should have a clear diagnosis of the situation in which the pavilions, sports courts, swimming pools and soccer fields are both in the districts as in the city.

And once you have clear the current status of the map of facilities, a number of criteria are determined to establish fair prices, considering especially the level of equipment and quality that have these facilities, both in the city ​​and villages.

In this regard, if successful the proposal shuffles the Department of Sports, you can give the paradox that prices of private sports facilities can be cheaper than municipal, which will bring the neighbors stop using these last.

In addition, for the PSOE, the attitude of councilman Felipe Coello is to act as if he still had the absolute majority to make a decision on their own and risk the consequences it may have for most users.

"Who has counted for this proposed new prices? With sports federations, clubs and users?" Asks the Socialist councilor.

Therefore, the Municipal Group will lead the Councillor for Sports, Felipe Coello, to complain about the criteria for developing such a proposal in this regard and claim an agreement not to harm the districts.
