Following the plan of maintenance and repair of schools in neighborhoods and districts, the Board has given the green light to the award of the works of repair and maintenance in 6 schools more, through the Department of Education, Relations with universities and Heritage, directed by Rafael Gomez.

The centers that will act are Rafael Nicolas Raya, Sangonera la Verde, Jose Martinez Tornel, Patino, CEIP Avileses and Manuel Fernández Caballero, Don Juan Manuel Infante and Narciso Yepes, Murcia.

The works, estimated to amount to 126,666 euros amount will be carried out taking advantage of the summer holidays in order to put the centers for perfect operation during the next school year 2016/2017.

The works mainly focus on repairing toilets, facades, interior paint, drips, sanitation, locks and metal and wooden fences.

A few days ago, the city of Murcia approved the award of the works in other schools, including Our Lady of the Angels, El Esparragal, Beniscornia corner, Sacred Heart, Zeneta, Kingdom of Murcia and Felix Rodriguez de la Fuente in Murcia and Virgin of Guadalupe.

In total, the Department of Education expects to act this summer in more than twenty centers.
