The Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Murcia (UMU) will host from tomorrow, Wednesday, the XXXVI Conference on Health Economics, which will last until Friday and which will be studied and discussed issues such as sustainability health systems in times of crisis.
The meeting, which will feature 280 international experts will attend, among others, Andrew Street, University of York (UK), in the opening session will address the aforementioned issue of how to keep increases in health demands with budgets cut .
Lawmakers will also discuss the need for substantive reforms and analyze already undertaken to help improve system indicators and in particular those directly related to health outcomes.
The opening of the conference in the auditorium of the said Faculty, will be presided by the rector of educational institution Murcia, José Orihuela, at 9:30 am.
The conference is organized by the Association of Health Economics (AES), whose vice president is the Vice Chancellor of the University of Murcia José María Abellán.
President of the Organizing Committee is also professor of this university Fernando Sanchez Martinez, Department of Applied Economics.
