The Spanish Society of Classical Studies presented yesterday at the University of Murcia (UMU) awards of the X Olympiad for students of Classical Languages ​​School 2nd Region.
The first prize, in the form of Latin and the Greek, went to Aleksandrina Veselinova Georgieva, student of IES Mariano Baquero (Murcia).
The event, which was held at the Conference Hall of Letters, was chaired by the rector of the University of Murcia, José Orihuela.
In addition to the winners in the Olympics, also we proceeded to the awards contest Cicero "Contest In Concordiam Europae Regionumque Orbium".
Both competitions brought together a total of 72 students from ten secondary schools, nine of Murcia and one of Valencia.
The Minister of Education and Universities, Maria Isabel Sanchez-Mora, and the Vice President for Communication and Culture of the UMU, Galdana Monica Perez, also participated in the ceremony.
