The Region celebrates its big day in a festive Murcia and boiling in which hundreds of people have joined the acts that have hosted the main squares and avenues of the capital.

Hundreds of people have joined this morning to acts that have hosted the main squares and avenues of the city of Murcia, within the events of the Day of the Region, a warm, festive and participatory conference, which highlighted the spectacular display aerobatic parachute in La Glorieta and First Meeting of Bands of Murcia, with more than 1,000 musicians who have toured the various streets and gardens of the capital to join in a massive concert in Martinez Tornel Plaza .
Early in the morning, the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, President of the Autonomous Community, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, the government delegate, Antonio Sanchez Solis, and municipal and regional authorities witnessed the hoisting of the national flag after the parade formation Honors Company, a solemn ceremony which was also attended dozens of local and regional authorities.
José Ballesta said that "today is a day to celebrate the history we share as a people, our unity and murcianía, but above all, social and territorial cohesion of a region composed of 45 municipalities brothers and solidarity".

Thus, El Malecon, Avenida de la Libertad and Santo Domingo welcome today, on schedule from 11.00 to 14.00 and 17.30 to 21.30, musical performances, children's workshops and games for the whole family.
The celebration of the Day of the Region in the capital coincides with the commemoration of the 750th anniversary of the granting of road privilege by King Alfonso X the city.
Therefore, within the events it has included the exhibition of historical character of Almudí, in which we review the evolution of the city from the constitution of the Council (current City Hall) in 1266, to the present.
You can also see today in La Glorieta, to 19.00, the outdoor exhibition with material from the Navy, which includes vehicles and equipping of the Unit Divers Mine, the Tercio de Levante Marine, Center diving Navy, Naval Special Warfare Force and Personnel Support Agency.

The Segura river has also witnessed Day events in the region, with nautical activities included canoeing and rowing, radio control, bungee jumping and flying fox, rescue and fishing, among others.
In addition, the museums of the capital today held an open doors.
Institutional event at the Teatro Circo and air theater in Cathedral Square
Circus Theatre will host this evening, at 19.00, the act of the Day of the Region, which will present Gold Medals to the following persons and distinguished institutions: Regulatory Council of Designation of Origin Jumilla, Centro Blood Donation in the Region of Murcia, Spanish Armada, painter Pedro Cano, Alejandro Valverde, Miguel Angel Lopez athlete and the Association of Victims of Thalidomide in Spain.
It will also deliver the Distinguished Service Diploma researcher Maria del Rocio Alvarez Lopez.
At night, from 21.30 d elas, the Cathedral Square will host the show except air theater group Puja !, which will play its international success 'Kaosmos'.
