The councilman of Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz Caballero, and the councilman of Youth and Development Cooperation, Rebeca Perez, attended the presentation of the volunteer program Summer 2016 Jesus Forsaken Foundation, which will participate a hundred volunteers.
With this program, the Jesus Forsaken Foundation offers the possibility of volunteer activities during the months of July and August, working with professionals in each area, providing support to provide better service to all homeless.
Volunteers, said Ruiz Caballero, "actively collaborate in the development of all activities, showing their responsible commitment not only with Jesus Forsaken Foundation, but with all the Murcian society as a whole".
The areas where we can collaborate include soup kitchen, cleaning, support in the kitchen, preparation and distribution of food bags;
support tasks in workshops and activities at the Day Center;
and different cleaning activities and support in the kitchen at the Welcome Centre.
With this initiative, dedicated volunteers, the Jesus Forsaken Foundation has indicated Ruiz Caballero, "promotes and coordinates the involvement of society, coordinates its work to make it as effective as possible, offers participation options adapted depending on availability and guarantees training required for the performance of their work. "
It is specially designed and aimed at those young people who stay in the city during the summer months, either study or work, having illusion, desire, empathy, closeness and respect for others, with the only requirement is that they be over 18 years and commit two hours a week with the Foundation.
Jesus Forsaken offers all volunteers prior host and initial training, liability insurance, equipment and materials needed to carry out their work and joining the team.
