25 celiacs learn to cook foods suitable for your health thanks to Gastronomy Workshop of the City of Murcia (27/05/2016)

The Food and Health workshop sponsored by the Department of Sports and Health, who heads Felipe Coello has allowed 25 people with celiac disease, learn to cook foods for optimal condition and are difficult to find in the market.

Coello attended the workshop held on the occasion of the National Day of Celiac in the Gastronomic Classroom Veronicas Market Square.

A cook and nutritionist explained the rules of strict separation and cleaning that requires the preparation of such food for this group.

Participants learned to develop products such as baked goods, pasta, different breads, pancakes, etc.

Coello stressed that this initiative aims to "protect and teach celiac patients and make life more bearable", while "the aid favors families with fewer economic resources, as the shopping cart for a family with some celíaco is much more expensive than families without them, almost 35 percent, exactly ".

The councilman of Health has concluded that "in Spain there are 500,000 gluten, according to figures from the Federation of Associations of Celiac Spain (FACE), being an autoimmune disease whose only treatment is a strict gluten-free diet."
