Carlos Alberto Riquelme Jodar, a student of English Studies, has been awarded first prize in the short story contest I on women for his work: "The melody of awakening."

Second it was awarded Irene Vazquez Serrano, PhD student with his text "(Untitled)".

And Lucia Cegarra Cuquerella, law degree student, won third place with "Dolores".

The contest was organized by the Unit for Equality between Women and Men of the University of Murcia.

The intent of the contest was to reward original works of fiction and quality in the approach to issues of equality between women and men and in the treatment of stereotypes.
