The Socialist Party denounced the inaction of the PP government and demands that put solution to the state of neglect of hundreds of plots in Murcia (23/05/2016)

Councilwoman Municipal Socialist Party, Maite Espinosa, denounced Monday "inaction of the PP government" in relation to the state of neglect and filth that have many plots in the city and in the Sunday night led to a fire in the city of Almeria avenue.

"Years ago that since the PSOE have been denouncing the danger posed to the residents of the municipality the large number of plots have been abandoned there in our town. So much for the possibility of fire as issues of dirt and pests, we repeatedly demanded that the city act for these solar are cleared of weeds and dirt, and finished with existing insect pests and rats, "said Espinosa.

The socialist mayor recalled that his group has filed motions in this regard in the past that the PP has voted against.

"Maybe the government team PP does not worry about the state of these plots, but the residents themselves because it is their safety and that of their families. On Sunday a plot Avenue Ciudad de Almería burned in particular one of the plots on which, from the PSOE, had requested action by the council. we had recently presented a communication in October 2015 and another in January this year, calling for immediate action to clear the lots of the area and prevent fires and pests. PP inaction, despite our insistence, has resulted, finally, the greatest fear of the neighbors is fulfilled and solar have burned ".

The PSOE Councillor has also indicated that residents of Ciudad de Almería take six years denouncing the problem without having taken any action.

"The neglect of the PP in the city of Murcia is negligent. The council must ensure that the lots are clean and free of weeds, penalizing those individuals who do not meet the obligation to keep their land in accordance with standard and dealing with cleaning them if necessary. "

"We reiterate the need for the PP government take measures to ensure that a fire is not repeated like Sunday, for the residents of the municipality not rats and snakes are on the sidewalks because solar with their houses are abandoned . the ultimate responsibility is the city of Murcia and from the PSOE will continue to demand that the appropriate measures are in place and are cleaned and disinfected solar the municipality, both municipal and private, "Espinosa concluded.
