The University of Murcia (UMU) implement an extension of the printing system itself, DALI, reprographic services, which allow students to submit their work in any of those, either from the computer classrooms either from their own laptops.

The extension is a software development Area Information Technology and Applied Communications (ATTICA) of the educational institution, and in agreement with all concessionaires reprographic services located on the campus.

By giving print, the student will see a printer called COPISTERIAS, which will release the pending work will be printed and finally retired at the copy shop you want and when you want.

To print from the laptop itself, you need to have a client program called DALI, you can download www.um.es/atica/dali installed

In addition to the aforementioned flexibility to choose where and when to print, another advantage of the new service is to reduce the waiting time at the copy machine because all prints sent to the cloud are displayed automatically using the TUI (University Smart Card).

The user can press to print at that moment what you want.

Also, it notes that the Vice President for Students, Quality and Equality has negotiated new pricing for this service with all the copy shops, agreeing to a 34% reduction of prices to the online impression regarding the maximum prices set by the UMU, and an average reduction of 20% compared to the prices currently offered copyshops with the same print quality and paper.

Specifically, the maximum prices to be applied for printing through DALĂŤ are 0,029 euros for printing in black and white on one side, and 0,026 duplexing.

Thus, if an average annual expenditure of about 80 euros per student of the UMU is assumed, it would result in savings of up to 16 euros per year per student, which multiplied by the 32,000 students of the institution, would result in an estimated saving of up to 512,000 euros per year.

In this regard, the president of the Student Council of the University (Ceumar), Domingo Antonio Sanchez, stressed that "this is good news for the student, for savings that will be directly reflected in spending occurs that us is very common and necessary ".

Moreover, "through this system, the prices at which we will have access students are unified and containment puts the divergence between existing by the different copy shops that are on the campus," he added.

Similarly, Domingo Antonio Sanchez has encouraged the authorities of the UMU to continue on this path impulse actions that have a positive impact on the students of the University of Murcia.
