International Festival of ecological theater 'The Firefly Fused' organized by the Catholic University of Murcia has opened the registration period, which aims at environmental awareness through micro shorts.
These audiovisual pieces may be submitted until May 29 on the official website of the festival www.luciernagaucam.com.
In this seventh edition, the festival has two sections such as: Absolute, for over 18 years, with parts of three minutes maximum;
Amateur and for minors represented by an adult, with parts also 3 minutes.
The best short films will receive the following awards at the gala presentation on June 2 at the Regional Film Archive: in absolute section first prize is € 1,500, the second € 1,000 and the third prize 500 €.
The amateur section has a unique trophy 300 €, plus get different film material for the winner.
New this year, a 'masterclass' which will be held at the Royal Casino de Murcia on June 1, and will feature speakers and will be offered: Salvador Serrano, President of the Union of actors in the Region of Murcia;
Nabil yAxis, filmmaker and producer BlackMamba Films;
the Poveda brothers, directors 'Twin Freaks Studio';
among other professionals in the world of cinema.
The Festival was created in 2010 to promote environmental advocacy in education, starting from primary education to university.
