The councilman of Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz, and President of the College of Podiatrists of the Region of Murcia, Javier Serrano, have signed a collaboration agreement that will allow some 35,000 members of senior centers benefit from a discount of 20 today percent on the price of the consultation held in podiatry clinics professionals.
The provision of chiropody (nail grooming, removal of calluses, etc) will be done by qualified in clinical podiatry professionals who have the mandatory sanitary authorization and registration in the Register of Establishments and Health Services Region Murcia (RESS).
This is one of the measures implemented by the Department of Social Rights to meet the need of older people receiving a service in high demand for them and that will be covered by the College of Podiatrists with the best guarantees of professionalism and safety .
Social rights also continues the improvement plan senior centers dependent on the City of Murcia -in which already has invested more than one million euros in order to equip them with the necessary requirements for the sanitary authorization and to develop them again in the consultations.
Professionals who provide the service shall be entitled to exercise the profession and discharged at the College of Podiatrists of the Region of Murcia, which will ensure the responsibility of those who join the program.
