The Municipal Socialist Group today called for the review of all agreements, contracts and agreements signed between the city of Murcia and the Catholic University San Antonio of Murcia (UCAM) and the relationship of municipal employees who are involved in it and the urban records related to this institution which has intervened chief Town Planning.
The revision of the agreements will take place within the Special Committee on Oversight Recruitment, following an agreement in plenary last February, "in order to dispel any doubt that this university has been be benefited by decisions at City Hall regardless of the legality or ethics of public administration ", as indicated by councilman Enrique Ayuso.
The socialist mayor has likewise asked for a report on the relationship of public personnel employed by the local authority that has been granted support for activities at the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) or in any of its schools, sports clubs and entities linked to it.
Similarly, the PSOE has demanded a copy of all urban records related to the Catholic University in which was involved the head of Town Planning of the City of Murcia, and the report on the granting of compatibility is based its position as a public employee with teaching activities at the university.
These requests are motivated by several reports that suggest planning irregularities allegedly committed by the UCAM, including those that have been known in the sense that the head of Town Planning of the City of Murcia teaches at the UCAM and would be responsible for monitoring that the works carried out on the campus of Los Jeronimos suit legality.
"It is unacceptable that the City of Murcia appears linked to alleged connivance with irregular activities that might have made this university, so policy makers must be vigilant and ensure that the law is fulfilled," said Ayuso.
