Magazine "Monteagudo" dedicated to the figure of Buero Vallejo is presented (09/05/2016)

The latest issue of "Monteagudo", the Journal of Spanish Literature, Spanish American, Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature at the University of Murcia is a case of playwright Antonio Buero Vallejo in the first centenary of his birth.

The publication is presented on Tuesday, May 10, at 19.30 pm in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Arts.

The activity is part of the series "Deletreartes. Meeting of Culture UMU" within the "cultural Logografías" section.

In the presentation involved Galdana Monica Perez Morales, Vice Chancellor for Communication, Culture and Sports;

Francisco Javier Diez de Revenga Torres, Professor of Spanish Literature;

Iniesta Antonio Galvan, PhD in Literature in 2011 with a thesis on Buero Vallejo;

Mariano de Paco Moya, Coordinator Monograph, and Carlos Buero, son of writer and author of an article in the Monograph.

Antonio Buero Vallejo was born on 29 September 1916 in Guadalajara.

In 1949 he debuted in Madrid the work that would change the course of the twentieth century Spanish scene, "History of stairs".

Mariano de Paco and Virtues Serrano affirmed in the presentation of the publication is an author who "has left an indelible mark on the scene and in the Spanish life in the second half of the twentieth century" and added that his work has been "able to overcome barriers spatiotemporal because his work not only talk about a here and now the time of writing it is immersed in the most profound political, social and human conflicts of any place and time."
