Solidarity Planting a hundred flowering shrubs in the nursing homes of the Little Sisters of the Poor (04/05/2016)

In addition, volunteers from the Municipal Parks and Gardens were ordered to trim palm trees, trimming hedges and clean the trees, preparing the green areas of the center in which reside 73 seniors, plus 10 sisters who watch over their care .

The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and the Councillor for Administration Modernisation, Urban Quality and Participation, Jose Guillen, went this afternoon with a group of volunteer workers Municipal Parks and Gardens condition the garden of the residence elders Sisters of the Poor.

In total, they were planted near a hundred flowering shrubs flower beds in the entrance.

In addition, volunteers were responsible for trimming the palm trees, trim the hedges and trees clean, preparing the green areas of the center where 73 elderly residents, more than 10 sisters who watch over their care.

This action responds to a request made by the Little Sisters of the Poor to City Hall, as due to the advanced age of some of them, they found it very difficult to perform certain tasks in the garden.

"Helping more help is more than rewarding work and the City Council, we will continue going to the call of those organizations or associations committed to improving their environment and care for those who need it most," said the mayor .
