12 routes to discover the nooks and paths of Huerta, on foot or bicycle (04/05/2016)

These greenways, totaling more than 130 kilometers, including chapels, mills, landscapes, irrigation, hydraulic elements, trees, bowling, traditional pubs, agriculture and ethnography.

The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and the Town Planning, Environment and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, presented today the 12 tourist routes in the Huerta de Murcia, a series of green routes totaling more than 130 kilómetrso of paths and lanes, and that can be done on foot or by bicycle.

"This initiative is part of the Action Plan of the Huerta de Murcia and presents suggestive, surprising, sometimes unpublished and always full of huertana essence, for friends or family tours," said the mayor, adding that "the object it is to show, teach and discover places, heritage, landscape and customs that bring us closer to our roots. "

The routes run through 130 kilometers of trails and paths intertwined, with 38.9 km of walking tours and bike 91.1.

Have been included and identified hermitages, mills, landscapes, irrigation, hydraulic elements, trees, bowling, traditional pubs, agriculture and ethnography, etc.

Specifically, 245 have been marked elements patrimonial and cultural and 195 natural stretches of environments, wildlife, flora and agriculture, contained in 407 images to document and prior knowledge of the route.

12 greenways

The routes have been designed by the international murciano cicloturista, Juan Francisco Cerezo, also author of references and photographs and layouts created and adapted to the network and Javier Antonio Abellan Dodge, architects Huerta Bizarra association.

Specifically, we have established 12 green itineraries:

· Route 1 - The Aljufía.

· Route 2 and 3 - Churra: the new and the old.

· Route 4: Between castles.

· Route 5: Alquibla.

· Route 6: Meanders and corners.

· Route 7: The Arboleja.

· Route 8: Torreagüera.

· Route 9: The Reguerón.

· Route 10: Alquerías.

· Route 11: The Raal.

· Route 12: Azarbes and Meranchos.

Routes, accessible via the Internet, from the website of Urbanism (http://murcia.es/web/urbanismo/a), let go and access the sights and collected signs: connection with bus lines, length, length of itinerary, crossing populations, car parks, points of caution, and all the above landscape, heritage, leisure and entertainment elements.
