'El Amor Brujo' triumphed in Alicante (01/05/2016)

The ADDA Auditorium last night lived 'El Amor Brujo', as it was chosen to start the tour of the work performed by Estrella Morente by the UCAM Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of José Gómez.

The singer was also accompanied by his flamenco group composed porJosé Carbonell "Montoyita" on guitar, Antonio Carbonell and Ángel Gabarre who made the choruses and clapping, cheers and applause before getting even the rest of the concert.

The performance began with the interpretation of the Symphony Orchestra of the UCAM several pieces of Falla, among which highlighted 'The Three-Cornered Hat, Suite No. 3'.

They also had their place on the stage 'The moruno cloth', 'Asturiana', 'Nana' and 'Polo', as were the four popular songs of the Spanish composer which Morente gave voice before starting the central part of the work.

Following this tribute to the Spanish culture, tradition and art, flamenco singer got last night in the role of 'Candela', the protagonist of 'El Amor Brujo' one of the most important works and universalesde Manuel de Falla, who Pastora Imperio composed it for over a hundred years ago.

The first version was released in Madrid in 1915.

From the voice of Morente to his gestures were transported to the deep public Alicante Spain in the early twentieth century.

Cheers, applause and the word 'bravo' reverberated in the Symphony Hall Auditorium ADDA.

After this successful premiere, the tour will continue in Valencia, Murcia, Madrid and finally arrive in Cartagena, neighboring city of La Union, where the work was performed in 2014 at the International Festival of Cante de las Minas, receiving Estrella Morente the "Castillete Gold ", the highest distinction of the festival.
