The PSOE will ensure compliance of the motion for balanced and democratic distribution of the budgets of neighborhoods and districts (29/04/2016)

The spokesman of the Socialist Municipal Group, José Ignacio Gras, said Friday that the PSOE, along with the other opposition groups, ensure compliance with the agreement of Parliament that approved yesterday the creation of a working group with municipal technicians and representatives of political parties to establish the criteria for allocation of the budgets of the Municipal Councils and District, specifically in Pedanías Infrastructure Plan and Investment Plan Barrios.

"The agreements of the Plenary are to meet them and it was clear that the agreement signed yesterday no new administrative body created nor detracts powers to the Governing Board: the law is clear," said Jose Ignacio Gras, adding that reports legal presented by councilman Decentralization "is just a smokescreen to continue to monitor the distribution of money for partisan and without explanation"

"We are in a new political era in which transparency and participation, together with efficiency, should govern all activities in our City, and the municipal government of the Popular Party should be clear," said Socialist spokesman.

Gras reiterated that his group will insist that the plural commission meets and set the criteria for allocating funds districts and neighborhoods that have not yet been distributed.

"We explained to be given the opportunity to all political groups to participate in a decision of this importance and that the criteria to be proposed to the Board of Governors are known transparently, unlike now where no one it seems to know. "

Specifically, the agreement approved by all opposition groups contemplated that the working group set in the first half of May the criteria for allocation and prioritization of PIPE Plan (Infrastructure Plan Pedanías) worth 1,353,000 euros and the Investment Plan Barrios, endowed with 715,000 euros in the Department of Modernization and 1,806,250 euros in the Department of Public Works (total € 2,521,250).

the quantities left over from previous years, in the investment chapter (Chapter VI), with affected and uncommitted financing are also included.

The PP voted against this initiative and alleged legal problems to effect it.
