A new edition of Business Project Competition will reward the most innovative business ideas (29/04/2016)

The Governing Board has given the green light to the bases of XXIV Business Project Competition which aims to help and motivate murcianos entrepreneurs seeking opportunities and business ideas that promote entrepreneurship and reactivate the economy and employment.

The Department of Employment, Tourism and Culture will award the most innovative ideas with a total of 60,000 euros.

natural persons ordinarily resident in the municipality of Murcia, individually or in groups can participate in this contest;

legal persons (SMEs) whose registered office and tax the business project is the municipality, and projects of persons or entities not resident or domiciled outside the municipality provided the project intends to develop in Murcia.

The projects submitted must have a start date later activity January 1, 2015, and in the case of enlargement of already established companies shall be a minimum increase of three workers on the weighted average of the template in the previous twelve months the trade date and should be an innovation compared with the initial project of the company.

Applications may be submitted until next September 5, in the General Register of the City, in decentralized offices and PSCs and will have to include a specification of the business project

The prizes amounting to 60,000 euros, distributed as follows:

1st Prize: up to 20,000 euros and a grant of 3,600 euros for attending the Master in Business Administration corresponding to the 2015/2016 edition, granted by the University-Enterprise Foundation.

2nd Prize: up to 15,000 euros and a grant of 1,500 euros for attending the course in Business Management Executive Program, for the edition 2015/2016, awarded by the University-Enterprise Foundation.

3rd Prize: up to 10,000 euros.

4th Prize: Special Category REDEL: up to 6,000 euros and a period of six business accommodation free months at the Center for Municipal Initiatives.

REDEL, is the Local Development Entities National Network, which is part of the City.

This award is intended to entrepreneurs in cities that are part of the network can come to the city of Murcia to launch their projects.

This annual call is made by the City Council since 1992 with the aim of encouraging self-employment through economic aid, training and municipal advice.
