The House approved the initiative of the PSOE, which in September held the first debate on the State of the Municipality of Murcia (28/04/2016)

The Municipal Socialist Group spokesman, Jose Ignacio Gras, Thursday expressed satisfaction at seeing virtually approved all motions presented by the PSOE regular full City Council of Murcia, both own and subscribed with other political groups.

Especially for which he has been unanimously approved by the City Council to hold an annual debate on the State of the Municipality, "where we can discuss and share the visions we have about the municipality of Murcia model we want to build."

The organization of the debate of State of the Municipality will be established within the Commission Regulation Reform plenary, which will meet in the near future.

Two other motions of the PSOE, defended by Councilwoman Susan Hernandez, were approved unanimously: one on the sale of municipal housing for women victims of gender violence and the other to extend school canteens in holiday period with educational leisure activities , with contributions from the Popular Party.

The latter motion, which was tabled by the Socialist Group in previous mandates, seeks to address feeding problems faced by children from poor families and in social exclusion and who are users of school canteens.

With the support of opposition groups and the abstention of the PP two motions were passed: a defended by Begoña García Retegui on tourism and cultural signage in the municipality of Murcia, and another of Juan Vicente Larrosa to provide sufficient staff to municipal citizen services offices in districts, so that problems will not occur closing for a few days for not having officials to public attention.

A motion on the rehabilitation of San Andrés market was withdrawn at the last minute.

Cast investments

As for the subscribed initiatives with other political groups, highlights the broader debate emerged in the motion that addressed the creation of a working group with local technicians and representatives of political parties to establish the criteria for allocating budgets Boards municipal and District, specifically in Pedanías Infrastructure Plan and Investment Plan Barrios.

Specifically, the agreement provides that the working group set in the first half of May the criteria for allocation and prioritization of PIPE Plan (Infrastructure Plan Pedanías) worth 1,353,000 euros and Investment Plan Barrios endowed with 715,000 euros in the Department of Modernization and 1,806,250 euros in the Department of Public Works (total € 2,521,250).
