The Civil Guard dismantled a youth gang engaged in burglary of Huerta de Murcia (27/04/2016)

The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia has developed the operation 'MACAYU', established to investigate, clarify and arrest perpetrators of burglaries in homes of the Huerta de Murcia, which has led to the arrest of the four members of a criminal organization suspected of at least a dozen burglaries isolated from the Murcian districts of El Esparragal, Shore Azarbe and Llano de Brujas.

The operation, part of the 'Plan against burglary', has also culminated in the recovery of many effects, including mobile phones, computers, cameras and jewelry and trinkets are, which have been returned to their rightful owners.

The investigation began earlier this year when the Civil Guard became aware of a series of robberies committed in homes isolated from the Huerta de Murcia, which had generated a certain social alarm in the area.

The Civil Guard has obtained evidence and testimony linking these robberies, with the existence of a young band dedicated to organizing and materialization of assaults on inhabited houses, with the main objective of removing valuables, easy to transport, which later sold illegal circuits.

In order to identify, locate and arrest members of this criminal group, the Civil Guard has provided numerous police operations surveillance and prevention in the affected areas.

It is in one of these devices when a patrol has received an alarm of robbery at a home site in the Murcian hamlet of El Esparrragal that, indeed, had just produced.

The Civil Guards have carried out a raid intense in the area of ​​orchard and trails near the house, where they located two young men who, realizing police presence, have been nervous while one of them has hidden, nimbly several objects in an area nearby brush.

Once identified, the Civil Guard have seized all the stolen jewelry and mobile phones carrying concealed in their clothing and had camouflaged among the vegetation, so they have been detained as suspected of the crime of burglary.

Research has identified and arrest two other youths also related to the alleged organization and materialization of reported thefts.

The result of the research has revealed that it is a youth group, seated in the Murcian districts of El Raal and Santa Cruz, allegedly dedicated to burglary in detached dwellings guarding to meet both security measures, such as routines of its inhabitants.

The Civil Guard has determined that the now detained, some of them with a criminal record for similar offenses, distributed the criminal tasks so that while some charge to monitor the area to alert police presence, others had access to farms and subtracted valuables, easy to transport, with fleeing along paths and rural roads to their homes.

The operational capacity of the now dismantled criminal group was based on the youth of its members, allowing them to climb and access to buildings, with agility and skill in a short time.

Operation 'MACAYU' has culminated in the arrest of four people-males, of Spanish and Moroccan nationalities, aged between 18 and 20 years, who are credited with, so far, the alleged author of a dozen of burglaries.

They have recovered numerous jewelry, mobile phones, cameras and electronic equipment that has been returned to its rightful owners.

The detainees, recovered and proceedings initiated effects have been made available to the Magistrate's Court in Murcia.
