Let's change intends to apply income criteria to public prices for juvenile stays abroad (25/04/2016)

Councilman Let's change Murcia Sergio Ramos has raised today the need for the City Council consider criteria of family income when establishing the financial aid received by beneficiaries of grants stay abroad within the framework of the campaign summer Municipal Youth Service.

So far, the amount provided by the Consistory for each student is fixed character, which is not addressed to the income of households.

In this sense, Ramos has insisted that "is not the same pay 1,200 euros for a linguistic stay for a family with all members unemployed, than another exceeding 60,000 euros per year, for example."

Therefore, the Consistory should consider for the next call, because this year will be hired this week, some economic guidelines to ensure that beneficiaries, regardless of their purchasing power, have access to municipal aid .

In addition, Ramos has considered "poor" the 100 seats that have come to contest in a town of the size of Murcia.

"There are very few to meet the real needs of the municipality," she added the councilman, who has requested information on how many applicants were registered last year and how many of them did not get a place.
