The PSOE demands explanations on the Planning Commission why it has not started the revision of land-use planning (22/04/2016)

The Municipal Socialist Group has demanded explanations today in the Planning Commission of the City of Murcia of the reasons why it has not complied with the agreement of the plenary of last January, a proposal by the PSOE, that within this Commission begin the procedures for the start of work of the revision of land-use planning.

Especially since for those jobs has 45,000 euros a game introduced by the Socialist Group in the 2016 municipal budgets, in developing a diagnostic study of the situation of the Plan.

The City Council has explained, through its Town Planning, Antonio Navarro, there are advanced negotiations with the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) to sign an agreement and make that diagnosis.

In this working group will UPCT both teachers and technical staff of City Hall.

The representatives of the PSOE in the Planning Commission have called for the work plan contained in the draft agreement is treated in an upcoming commission to check that covers all aspects of the proposed diagnosis (before it is developed or to be complemented with other agreements with other universities, including the University of Murcia, if necessary).

It also indicated that one of the basic elements of this agreement will be the realization of an Environmental Monitoring Plan.

Joven Futura

Moreover, the PSOE has demanded information on the situation in which is the case of Futura Young urbanization, following the Supreme Court ruling annulling the end of last September, the reclassification of non-developable land to urbanizables of high density.

This request for information was made by the spokesman, Jose Ignacio Gras Socialist Group, after the ruling that affected this promotion of houses in Espinardo.

The Town Planning, Antonio Navarro, has reported that it is awaiting a report by the legal services of the City Council, in coordination with the Autonomous Community.

He also has said he is still considering to remedy the shortcomings highlighted by the judgment of the Supreme Court: the absence of the mandatory report of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura.

For the PSOE, however, and in light of the judgment of the Supreme Court, what it is is to solve a problem generated approve land use changes and developments against the law.

A special garden soil protection and high environmental value.

It has also been noticed in the Planning Commission that another of the requests he had made the Socialist Group, the creation of an Office of Attention to those affected, is still open, although with little demand for information from neighbors, with whom they have held several briefings.

Remember that already in the municipal plenary session of 24 September 2009, the then Socialist councilor Marcos Ros said the opposite position of the PSOE to the reclassification of land for two reasons: the loss of lands of special protection for its high ecological value and non-availability of sufficient water resources for the urban development.

After the Supreme Court ruling on Joven Futura, six years later from the Municipal Socialist Group expressed "that the law is fulfilled, that the damage caused to those affected are restored, and who then occupied positions of political and urban responsibility den explanations. And all this regardless of the actions that justice can take if you observe the commission of any crime. "
