The underground containers of the Romea Theatre environment come into operation next June (22/04/2016)

The Governing Board has given the green light to the award of the works of installation of underground on the sides of Teatro Romea (street Echegaray and Angel Guirao) and on the side of the Bank of Spain (Street Actor Fernando Diaz de Mendoza) containers.

Thus, the Department of Public Works soterrará three new points of containers: The Echegaray street will have three units, Street Angel Guirao six units and street Actor Fernando Diaz de Mendoza with two.

The work was executed New Codimasa, with an investment of 130,805 euros, and within 20 days.

Since the containers are in zone BIC, the procedure has been especially carefully by the Department qualifying itself an archaeological supervision by a competent technician authorized by the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage of the Autonomous Community to perform a specific and detailed monitoring of the works to be carried out.

Murcia already has more than 500 underground points that improve the image of public roads, eliminating the visual impact of traditional containers, reduce discomfort more comfortable to wear and less noisy in their discharge containers.

This action is part of the plan of the Department of burying the containers in which the center, so emblematic of the environment, more convenient avoid traditional packaging area.
